WorkSwipe is an AI-powered hiring platform operated by Questo ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from both employers and job candidates who use the WorkSwipe platform.
2. Information We Collect
From Candidates:
- Name, email address, phone number, and location
- Resume and work history, education, and skills
- Job preferences, salary expectations, and work arrangement preferences
- Swipe activity and match history
- Profile visibility settings and blocked companies
From Employers:
- Company name, contact information, and billing details
- Job descriptions, requirements, and compensation ranges
- Hiring manager profiles and team member accounts
- Swipe activity, match feedback, and hiring outcomes
From All Users:
- Usage data including page views, session duration, and feature usage
- Device and browser information
- Cookies and analytics data
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve the AI matching service
- Generate compatibility scores between candidates and jobs
- Process employer billing and manage accounts
- Send match notifications and service communications
- Enforce platform rules and prevent fraud
- Comply with applicable employment and data protection laws
We do not sell candidate personal information to third parties. Candidate profiles are only visible to employers who match the candidate's criteria and visibility settings.
4. Candidate Profile Visibility
Candidates control their profile visibility. Options include active (visible to matching employers), passive (visible only to saved matches), and hidden (not visible to any employer). Candidates can block specific companies. A candidate's current employer never sees their profile unless the candidate explicitly allows it.
5. AI Matching and Data Processing
Our AI analyzes skills, experience, preferences, and behavioral patterns (swipe history) to generate match scores. The AI does not use protected characteristics (race, gender, age, disability) as matching factors. We regularly audit our algorithms for bias. You may request a human review of any automated matching decision.
6. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored on encrypted servers using AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We use Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. Access to production systems requires multi-factor authentication and is restricted to authorized personnel.
7. Data Retention
Candidate profiles are retained while the account is active plus 12 months after last login. Employer data is retained for the subscription duration plus 90 days. Match history is retained for 24 months. You may request deletion at any time.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Delete your account and personal data
- Export your data in a machine-readable format
- Object to automated decision-making
- Opt out of marketing communications

9. GDPR and CCPA Compliance
We comply with GDPR for EEA users and CCPA for California residents. We do not sell personal information. Data transfers outside the EEA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. California residents may request to know, delete, or opt out at any time.

11. Children's Privacy
WorkSwipe is intended for users 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
12. Changes to This Policy
Material changes are communicated via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
